In my free time, I like to experiment with new styles and techniques when I draw. I think it keeps things interesting and also pushes me to work outside of my comfort zone and develop as an artist.
click here to enlargeMy love for drawing skulls is well-documented in this section; this illustration being one of the latest examples in a long history of drawing tributes to our brain bone.
click here to enlargeThis is another playful personal project, despite the apparently serious subject matter. I modified the ubiquitous support ribbon into something a little more skateboarding-appropriate.
click here to enlargeI designed this as a potential t-shirt that has yet to see the light. Nonetheless, I like the drawing a lot — it captures a sentiment most skateboarders can relate to.
click here to enlargeThis was just a fun personal project I put together in my free time, combining hand drawn illustration with digital elements rendered in Photoshop.
click here to enlargeThis illustration is a playful jab at certain Apple products' seemingly intentional short lifespan. As a business model, it's sinister although quite profitable. If your laptop dies after 2 years, you'll have to buy a new one, and fortunately Apple always has a fleet of updated models waiting for your wallet.

click here to enlargeThis started out as a silly project inspired by my enemies and allies in the food pyramid, so to speak; however, it ended up reawakening my interest in cartooning which has waned a bit in recent years as I grew more involved with design. I found this illustration to be a fun combination of both.
click here to enlargeIn this set of drawings I wanted the explore some of the stereotypes and realities of the party lifestyle galmorized in our culture within quirky imagery. I let my imagination run a little wild here; at its heart, this series was more an exercise in creativity, not taking art too seriously and having fun with it.
click here to enlargeBefore this painting, I took a long time off from doing larger pieces and stuck primarily to sketches and pencil drawings. During that time, I developed a new cast of characters, so to speak, and became interested in exploring new themes. Combining that with a few new Photoshop tricks I'd picked up along the way, I came up with this.
